Hypergamy: a first look at the cards
We’re working on Hypergamy, a collection of physical trading cards about online status, dating discourse, and the rules people invent in comment sections.
The first previews include Mog, Basic Human Empathy, and 300 View Jail. There’s also the Hypergamy Graph, plus LTN, MTN, and HTN: three different rankings for exactly the same fictional character.
What’s in the previews
Mog turns the shoulder pose-off into a competition. Basic Human Empathy gives a familiar online argument an unexpected response. In 300 View Jail, the counter stays put no matter how often you refresh.
The Hypergamy Graph takes aim at elaborate diagrams with very little evidence behind them. LTN, MTN, and HTN use the same portrait with different labels—the ranking changes, the character doesn’t.
All seven designs are on the Hypergamy collection page. The preview card list gives each design a reference number and is also available to download.
Release information
Hypergamy sealed packs contain 5 collectible cards and are priced at $9.99 USD per pack. You can submit a nonbinding purchase request. Availability, delivery, shipping, and taxes must be confirmed before an order is agreed.
